It is almost a month ago that we said goodbye to Hans-Juergen. I was glad that I was able to attend the memorial service. Impressive to hear what kind of person Hans-Juergen was for his family, colleagues and friends!
I just wanted to add that it has been an honor for me to have know him and worked with him several years, when he was NEG director, but even more afterwards when I took on part of his role in finance and project funding.
One of the things I have always been grateful for, is that he had prepared a manual of the various tasks I needed to do. Everything was new to me, so that was very helpful. After having had several other jobs since then, where one gets thrown in at the deep end, I realise how unique that was in our organisation. His legacy is that I plan to leave a manual for my successor when I hope to retire in the next few years!
Wishing you and your family God's closeness and strength when a new part of life begins, but cherishing all memories of Hans-Juergen.
