Hans-Jürgen and Christel selflessly came to Israel about 12 years ago when my 3 children were quite young to stay in my home with me and help me while my husband away - either in the IDF army reserves or perhaps traveling abroad with work.
Their presence in our home was so special and their love and tender care for me and my children was apparent very quickly.
And they certainly had energy to play with the kids, teach them new games and to be a warm grandparent type of presence in the home.
Such a special time together and while the time was short, I have such wonderful memories of watching my children enjoy learning new games, having a different kind of cultural experience, being prayed over and delighted in.
I am forever grateful for this duo-couple who took time from their own family to bless ours. And both Hans-Jürgen and his lovely Christel will always have a special place in my heart.
